Naruto Vol. 1 Review: A Thrilling Introduction to the World of Ninjas

Are you ready to experience the thrilling world of ninjas? Look no further than Naruto!

This manga series, created by Masashi Kishimoto, has captured the hearts of readers all over the world with its unique characters, epic battles, and heartwarming themes.

So I decide to start a Naruto’s Manga Review Series.

In this article, I’ll take a closer look at the first volume of the series and see what makes it such an amazing read. At the end I will rate this first wonderful chapter of the epic ninja!

Chapter 1: “Uzumaki Naruto”

The first chapter introduces us to the titular character, Naruto, a young ninja who dreams of becoming the strongest warrior in his village. However, after failing his genin trial for the third time, Naruto feels like giving up on his dreams and I begin to love this cute boy. That is until Mizuki, a fellow ninja, tricks him into stealing the Scroll of Sealing. With the help of his mentor Iruka, Naruto learns a valuable lesson and shows off his impressive ninja skills.

Chapter 2: “Konohamaru”

In this chapter, we meet Konohamaru, the grandson of the Sandaime Hokage, and his tutor Ebisu (in my opinion these characters should not be presented in this first book). Konohamaru and Naruto bond over their shared desire to be known for themselves instead of their reputations. They become rivals for the Hokage title, but not before Naruto shows off his infamous Harem no Jutsu technique.

Chapter 3: “Uchiha Sasuke”

A love triangle forms between Naruto, Sakura, and Sasuke, who are placed on a team together as part of their ninja training. Naruto’s pranks cause some tension between the team members, but they eventually learn to work together. This chapter also marks the introduction of Sasuke, who becomes Naruto’s main rival throughout the series.

Chapter 4: “Hatake Kakashi”

Enter Kakashi, the cool and enigmatic ninja who becomes the team’s instructor. He devises a test to see if the team has what it takes to become ninjas, but it proves to be more difficult than they anticipated. The team learns about teamwork and strategy, as they attempt to steal bells from Kakashi.

Chapter 5: “Carelessness is Your Worst Enemy”

Kakashi puts the team through their paces and schools them in the three main categories of techniques: ninjutsu, taijutsu, and genjutsu. Naruto attempts to use his signature technique, Kage Bunshin, to steal a bell from Kakashi, but it doesn’t quite go according to plan.

Chapter 6: “Not Sasuke-kun”

Naruto falls for a trap, leaving Sasuke to make his move. Kakashi educates Sasuke about Kawarimi, the replacement technique, and teaches Sakura about genjutsu. The team learns about the importance of paying attention to detail and being aware of their surroundings.

Chapter 7: “Kakashi’s Conclusion”

The team faces off against Kakashi, but none of them are able to get a bell from him. Kakashi decides that the team needs more training and tells them to stop trying to be ninjas for the time being. However, this only fuels their desire to become stronger and better ninjas.

In conclusion, the first volume of Naruto is a thrilling introduction to the world of ninjas, filled with action, humor, and unforgettable characters. From Naruto’s determination to become a respected ninja despite his failures, to the budding rivalry between him and Sasuke, and the wise teachings of their enigmatic sensei Kakashi, this volume keeps you hooked from beginning to end.

As a fan of the Naruto series, I highly recommend the first volume to anyone who enjoys action-packed manga with a compelling storyline. It sets the stage for the rest of the series, and it’s easy to see why it became such a cultural phenomenon.

Overall, I would rate this volume a solid 8 out of 10 for its engaging plot, dynamic characters, and excellent artwork.

Will you read it?

If you’re looking for an exciting manga to dive into, Naruto is a great place to start. With its well-developed characters, thrilling action sequences, and captivating story, it’s no wonder why it became such a massive hit worldwide.

The first volume sets the stage for what’s to come, introducing us to Naruto and his fellow teammates as they embark on their ninja training. It’s a story about perseverance, friendship, and the pursuit of one’s dreams, and it’s one that will keep you engaged from start to finish.

So, if you’re a fan of action-packed manga with a strong storyline and memorable characters, I highly recommend giving Naruto a read. With its fantastic world-building and expertly crafted plot, it’s a series that’s sure to keep you hooked for a long time.
